Materials Used:

  • Sport weight mercerized cotton yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Alize Bahar mercerised 100% cotton yarn in the colorway 01 (cream). 57 grams (149 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):

st./sts - stitch / stitches
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet

dc2(3)tog2(3) double crochet closed together - (yarn over, insert the hook into indicated ch space, yarn over and draw up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook)* repeat 2(3) times. Now you have 3(4) loops on hook. Yarn over and pull through all 3(4) loops.

trc5(6)tog 5(6) treble crochet closed together - (yarn over twice, insert the hook into next st., yarn over and draw up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook)* repeat 5(6) times. Now you have 6(7) loops on hook. Yarn over and pull through all 6(7) loops.
()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.

Instructions:
Start with ch6, sl st. into first ch to form a ring. Or, you can make a magic (adjustable) ring.
Round 1: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 15dc into ring.Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3. (16 sts)
Round 2: ch5 (counts as 1dc + ch2),
(1dc into next st., ch2)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch5.

Round 3: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into same st.,ch2,
(skip next ch2, 2dc into next st., ch2)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Round 4: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into next st., ch2,
(skip next ch2, 1dc into each of next 2 sts, ch2)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Round 5: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into same st., 2dc into next st., ch2,
(skip next ch2, 2dc into each of next 2 sts, ch2)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.
