Mason Jar Turkey
Oh, the Mason Jar Turkey is a fantastic idea for a festive treat! Layering all those Thanksgiving favorites in a cute little glass jar makes for a delightful individual serving that's both tasty and visually appealing. Starting with a base of mashed potatoes, then adding layers of tender turkey, sweet cranberry sauce, savory stuffing, and maybe even a drizzle of gravy, the result is a mini feast in a jar! It's not just delicious; it's also a fun and creative way to enjoy the flavors of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Plus, serving them in Mason jars adds a charming touch to your table setting. So, gather your ingredients, get layering, and savor the smiles that these adorable Mason Jar Turkeys will bring to your holiday gathering!
Supplies: A pint sized Mason Jar, band and lid, four additional bands, spray paint (I used brown, teal blue, fuchsia and yellow from Design Master), a wood slice ornament, googly eyes, a small piece of felt for the beak, rik rak for the waddle and an orange chenille stem.
Step 1: Spray paint the jar and lid brown.
Step 2: Spray Paint the bands.
Step 3: If you don’t have the right color rik rak, you can just paint some white any color you want!
Step 4: Glue the eyes, beak and rik rak waddle onto the wood slice.
Step 5: Tie the Mason Jar bands together.
Step 6: Glue the bands “feathers” and wood slice on the jar.
Step 7: Make the “feet” using chenille stems and glue them on.
