Border:
Round 1:
With A, ch 1, work 1 round of hdc around all 4 edges of blanket, placing 3 hdc’s in each corner, ending with a sl st to beginning ch.
Round 2:
Ch 4 (counts as 1tr), 6tr in same st, skip 2 or 3 sts, sc in next st, *skip 2 or 3 sts, 7tr in next st, skip 2 or 3 sts, sc in next st; repeat from * around, ending with a sl st to beginning ch.
Note: For round 2 of the border, I skipped 2 sts on each side of my blanket, but skipped 3 sts on the top and bottom edge of my blanket. I just liked the way the shells laid out by doing it this way.
Fasten off, weave in all ends, and enjoy your new blanket!
