How to Make Salt Dough Easter Egg Ornaments

You can use cookie cutters to create different shapes and sizes of eggs, and then paint them with vibrant colors or add glitter for a touch of sparkle. Once your ornaments are dry, you can hang them up with colorful ribbons or strings to add a festive touch to your Easter celebrations.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup salt
  • ¾ cup water
  • circle or egg shaped cookie cutter
  • straw
  • string (blue, orange, yellow, pink, green, and white)
  • acrylic paint
  • paint brush
  • scissors

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Mix the flour, salt and water in a bowl.
  • Take the dough out and flatten on parchment paper. Make a round shape to an egg shape. Make a hole with a straw on the top for the strings.
  • Let it dry (min. 24 hours)
  • Paint it.
  • Cut a piece of the string and string the egg up.

NOTES

You can also bake it at 250 degrees for 2 ½-3 hours.
