  •  White Sunflower (Six Total)
  • Wood Bead Wreath (14″ or 18″)
  • Craft Paint + Paint Brush
  • Glue Gun + Gluesticks
  • Scissors

Instructions

Step 1: Choose six colors of craft paint, one color for each flower. Squeeze a little bit of paint into a small cup and mix it with a little bit of water. If the color is darker or more intense, you’ll need to add more water and if the color is lighter, less water is needed. Adding the water helps make the paint go on more smoothly, kind of like a watercolor effect.

Step 2: Paint the petals of each flower, washing out your paint brush in between each color change.

Step 3: Let the flowers dry completely, then use a pair of sharp scissors or tin snips to cut the stems off of each flower.

Step 4: Glue each sunflower to the wood bead wreath. Alternately, you could leave the stems on and use florist wire to attach the flowers to the wreath. It’s up to you! If your wreath gets a lot of hot sun, you may want to use florist wire since sometimes that can melt the hot glue and make your flowers fall off.

And there you have it, a rainbow wreath variation that’s perfect for fall. I am really digging the soft colors and you know I just can’t resist a chance to put things in rainbow order.
