Crochet Easter Coaster

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Your choice of yarn (I used Dapper Dreamer’s 10-ply combed cotton)
- A crochet hook suitable for the type of yarn you’re working with (mine’s 4.5mm)
- A darning needle
- A pair of scissors

EASTER EGG
R1: mc, [sc1, ch2 (counted as first dc)], dc11; slst into 2nd ch.
R2: [ch3, dc1 into the same stitch as ch3 (counted as first dcinc)], dcinc4, tcinc2, dcinc5; slst into 3rd ch.
R3: ch3 (counted as dc1), dcinc1, repeat [dc1, dcinc1] 3 times, dc1, {dc1, tc1}, tcinc2, {tc1, dc1}, dcinc1, [dc1, dcinc1] for the rest of the round; slst into 3rd ch.
R4: ch3 (counted as dc1), dcinc1, [dc1, dcinc1] for the rest of the round; slst into 3rd ch.
R5: Join yarn, alternate [sc1, scinc1] for the rest of the round; slst to lock, cut yarn, weave in the ends.

EASTER BUNNY
THE HEAD
R1: mc, [sc1, ch2 (counted as first dc)], dc9, slst into 2nd ch.
R2: [ch3, dc1 into the same stitch as ch3 (counted as first dcinc)], dcinc for the rest of the round; slst into 3rd ch.
R3: ch3 (counted as dc1), dcinc1, [dc1, dcinc1] for the rest of the round; slst into 3rd ch.
R4: ch3 (counted as dc1), dc1, dcinc1, [dc2, dcinc] for the rest of the round; slst into 3rd ch to lock, cut yarn.
THE EARS + ASSEMBLY + EDGING
Step 1: ch11, hdc8 starting from the 2nd ch from the hook, hdcinc1 into the last ch st. On the other side, hdcinc1, hdc8; lock, then leave a 6-in tail before cutting yarn.
Step 2: Repeat the previous step to make the other ear.
Step 3: Using the long tail, sew the piece on the edge of the circle (the head) to attach the ear. Skip 3 sts and attach the other ear using the same method.
Step 4: Join yarn, sc1 into the stitches of the ears and the small gap in between, then sc inc for the rest of the stitches of the head; ss to lock cut yarn, weave in the ends.
TULIP
R1: mc, [sc1, ch2 (counted as first dc)], dc11; slst into 2nd ch.
R2: [ch3, dc1 into the same stitch as ch3 (counted as first dcinc)], dcinc for the rest of the round; slst into 3rd ch.
R3: ch3 (counted as dc1), dcinc1, [dc1, dcinc1] for the rest of the round; slst into 3rd ch.
R4: ch3 (counted as dc1), dc1, dcinc1, [dc2, dcinc] for the rest of the round; slst into 3rd ch to lock, cut yarn.
R5: ch1 [sc1 into the same st, {hdc1, dc1}, tcinc1, {dc1, hdc1}, sc1, slst]; repeat [ ] two more times to make the petals’ peaks; slst to lock, cut yarn.
R6: Join yarn, alternate [sc1, scinc1] around the tulip’s body. For the three peaks of the petals, follow [sc2, hdcinc, {hdc1, dc1}, {dc1, hdc1}, hdcinc, sc2, slst]; slst to lock. Cut yarn, weave in the ends.
