Easy DIY Wine Cork Ornament

Supplies for Wine Cork Ornaments DIY:
- Wine Corks
- small buttons
- orange chenille stem
- ribbon or fabric scrap
- small twigs
- black fine tipped paint pen
- 1 large black button, 3 small black buttons
- scissor or knife
- hot glue gun/sticks
How to make Wine Cork Christmas Ornaments:
- Step 1. Cut cork into 3 equal rounds.
- Step 2. Stack and glue cork pieces using a generous amount of hot glue to secure.
- Step 3. Cut a ¼” piece of orange pipe cleaner and bend to form a carrot shape. Glue to the center of face.
- Step 4. Add button details, wrap scrap of fabric or ribbon around neck-secure with glue.
- Step 5. Cut limbs to about 1”- 1 ½” long glue onto sides.
- Step 6. Glue large buttons on top of the corks. Then add small buttons, gluing each one on top of the other.
- Step 7. Finish off your snowman by adding eyes and a mouth to the front of the wine cork. Glue a small piece of ribbon or small loop of twine to the back of cork head for a hanger. You might also want to put the date on the back of your snowman ornament.
Variations
- Pom Poms can be used as a cute nose. You can also use very small pom poms for the snowman’s nose.
- Glitter and rhinestones. Feel free to add some gold glitter or rhinestones to make the ornaments even more festive.
- White paint is perfect for embellishments. It is optional but you can use white paint and a small paint brush to add embellishments.
- Hanging Loop. You can use ribbon, yard, twine or anything you have to make the loop.
