DIY Fall Leaf Bookmark

Fall is a wonderful season to get crafty, and a DIY Fall Leaf Bookmark is a perfect way to embrace the cozy vibes. To make your own, start by collecting some beautiful fall leaves with vibrant colors and unique shapes. Once you've found the perfect leaves, press them to dry and flatten them out. Next, grab some clear contact paper or laminating sheets to preserve the leaves and protect them from crumbling. Place the leaves between two pieces of contact paper or laminate them, trim the edges to create a neat look, and voilà! You have a charming Fall Leaf Bookmark to accompany your reading adventures. This simple and delightful project not only brings the essence of autumn into your reading routine but also makes for a lovely handmade gift for your book-loving friends. So, grab your supplies, embrace the fall spirit, and let your creativity flow!

Things You Will Need:
Leaves
Scissors
Mod Podge
Paint swatch
Paint Brush(es)
* Hot melt glue is optional but recommended. If you are impatient, like I am, it makes the process go a bit faster.

Step 1:
Cut the paint swatch in half and round the edges.

Step 2:
Glue the first leaf to the paint swatch. Press down and hold for a few seconds to make sure it sticks.

Step 3:
Repeat step 2 until the whole paint swatch is covered.

Step 4:
Add a thin layer of Mod Podge over the leaves. This will act as a sealant and will leave a gloss cover when it dries.
