DIY Fabric Favor Pouches

Create your own fabric favor pouches with this simple do-it-yourself project. These pouches are perfect for holding small gifts or treats for special occasions like weddings, birthdays, or baby showers. Choose a fabric that matches the theme of your event and cut it into the desired size for your pouches. You can add embellishments like ribbons, buttons, or lace to personalize your pouches. Fill them with candies, small trinkets, or even a heartfelt note before closing them up. Your guests will appreciate the thought and effort you put into creating these charming fabric favor pouches.

You will need:

Two coordinating pieces of cotton fabric, enough to cut circles with 7 inch diameters.
Sewing machine with buttonhole foot
30 inch long ribbon
Safety pin
Two beads
Candy

Using the template, trace circles on your fabric. Cut. Separate pieces.
Find a buttonhole foot. Use the foot to sew a button hole on the fabric you'd like to use as the outside of the pouch. Give the buttonhole a 1/2 inch seam allowance. Since we're sewing this on a circle, look to make sure that fabric is showing throughout the opening on the buttonhole foot. If there is fabric-less space, readjust to make sure the buttonhole doesn't run off the side.
Use a scissors to cut the buttonhole open.

Place the two circles of fabric RIGHT sides together. Sew a 1/4 seam allowance around most of the circle, leave a small area open so that you can turn it inside out.
Trim excess fabric away from hem. Turn inside out. Iron flat. Sew the small opening closed.

Sew another hem 3/4 inch away from the edge. Back stitch.
Attach a safety pin to the end of the ribbon. Push the safety pin through the buttonhole and around the circle. Push out through the buttonhole. Pull on the ribbon ends to scrunch up the opening.

Add candy. A pouch of this size holds three Lindor Truffles.
Add beads to the ends of the ribbon. Knot the ribbon ends three times to make sure the beads don't fall off.
Done!
