Make Wood Slice Ornaments with Pressed Flowers
Creating wood slice ornaments with pressed flowers is a delightful and creative way to bring a touch of nature into your holiday decor. Start by collecting colorful flowers and gently pressing them to preserve their beauty. Once you are satisfied with the arrangement, simply glue the flowers onto the wood slices and add a string or ribbon for hanging. These charming ornaments will not only add a whimsical touch to your tree but also serve as a lovely reminder of the beauty found in nature. Have fun crafting and let your imagination bloom!
Supply List
- Wood Slice Ornaments
- Mod Podge Gloss Sealer and Small Paint Brush
- Assorted Dried Pressed Flowers
- Ribbon and Scissors
- Hair Dryer and Candle Lighter (optional)
1. Remove piece of twine from Wood Slice ornaments
If your wood slice ornaments come with attached twine, remove it with scissors to later add a piece of ribbon.
2. Apply Thin Layer of Mod Podge to Wood Slice Ornaments
Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to wood using a paint brush. Add a flower then another layer of Mod Podge over the top of the flower.
3. Dry the Ornament
You can dry your ornament more quickly using a hair dryer. Allow the ornament to dry completely (glue will go from white to clear) before hanging.
4. Attach ribbon
Select a thin ribbon to tie onto ornament. I used a candle lighter to make the edge of my ribbon more stiff and easier to slide through the ornament hole.
