Patriotic Rag Wreath for the 4th of July
Celebrate the spirit of patriotism this 4th of July with a unique and eye-catching Patriotic Rag Wreath. This DIY project is a wonderful way to showcase your love for your country and add a touch of festive charm to your home decor. You can also add embellishments like small American flags, stars, or even a patriotic ribbon bow to enhance the overall look. Hang your finished wreath on your front door or display it indoors as a centerpiece to instantly infuse your space with a patriotic vibe. This project is easy to make and can be completed in no time.
My supplies were a wire coat hanger, sewing scissors, my old jeans, and burlap and gingham fabric that I had left over from making my ruffled Christmas tree skirt.
This is such a basic craft - all you have to do is cut the fabric into strips (mine were about an inch wide) and tie knots!
Here's what my rag wreath looked like when it was about half finished - I paused periodically and pushed the bows as far as I could because I wanted the wreath to be really full and fluffy.
