Worsted weight yarn, in your choice of colors
Size H/8 (5.00mm) crochet hook

Stitches Used/Abbreviations:ch-chain
rnd-round
sc-single crochet
hdc-half double crochet
dc-double crochet
sl st-slip stitch

Instructions: (I used 3 colors, switching them randomly for each rnd. You could easily use one solid color, a variegated, or up to 7 different colors to customize your mandala.)
Rnd 1:
ch 5. Join to 1st ch to form a ring. Ch 1. Work 10 hdc in ring. Join. (10 sts)
Rnd 2: ch 1. *Work 3 dc in next st. Sc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (20 sts)
Rnd 3: ch 1. *Skip next dc. Sc in 2nd dc. Ch 2. Skip next dc. Dc in next sc. Ch 2*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (10 sts+10 ch 2 spaces)
Rnd 4: ch 1. *Work 4 dc in next ch 2 space. Ch 1*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (40 sts+10 ch 1 spaces)
Rnd 5: ch 1. *Sc in each of the next 4 dc sts. Work 2 sc in next ch 1 space*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (60 sts)
Rnd 6: ch 1. *Hdc in each of the next 5 sts. Work 2 hdc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. (70 sts)
Rnd 7: ch 1. *Work 5 dc in next st. Skip 1 st. Sl st in next st. Skip 1 sts*. Repeat (*) around. Join. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
