DIY Pumpkin Candles
Sure thing! DIY Pumpkin Candles are a fantastic way to bring the cozy vibes of fall into your home. To make them, start by carving out small pumpkins, cleaning out their insides, and cutting off the tops to create lids. Next, scoop out a little extra space at the top to fit a tea light candle. You can even get creative by adding cinnamon sticks or cloves for fragrance. Then, simply place the tea light inside, light it up, and enjoy the warm flickering glow of your homemade pumpkin candles. They not only look adorable but also fill your space with a delightful autumn scent. So grab some pumpkins, get crafty, and let these charming candles light up your home this season!
Pumpkin Candle supplies
- mini pumpkins
- soy wax
- candle wicks
- melting pot or glass measuring cup
Note: Pay close attention to the softness of the pumpkins when you’re choosing which ones to bring home. Some of these mini ones can be extremely hard. Try to find some softer ones for this project.
Step 1: melt the soy wax
If you have a melting pot, you’ll want to do this on the stove. If you’re using a glass measuring cup, melt the wax in the microwave.
Follow the instructions on your wax flakes for the proper amount.
While that melts, you can work on the next step.
Step 2: clean out your pumpkin
Cut the top off of your pumpkin and spoon out the contents.
Save your pumpkin seeds! So yummy!
Step 3: add the candle wick
The easiest way to add the wick is to dip it in the melted wax and press it firmly against the bottom of the pumpkin.
You could also use a hot glue gun for this.
Step 4: pour in the wax and let it set
Let the wax cool for a minute or so before you pour it into the pumpkin. That wax gets really hot, really fast, so be careful with this step.
Let the wax cool and harden completely.
Now, light your pumpkin candles and enjoy!
