So, why not give it a try and showcase your memories in a one-of-a-kind way!

Materials

  • large serving tray (Dollar Tree)

  • double-sided Scotch tape
  • Rustoleum spray paint (stone)
  • Behr premium Chalk spray paint
  • 11x14 printed picture (I ordered mine from Etsy)
  • craft paper

Tools

  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. Create backing. Press a piece of craft paper onto the serving tray and cut out around the crease.

  1. Secure paper. Use small pieces of double sided tape to secure the craft paper cutout. Smooth the paper directly over the tape.
  2. Spray paint the tray. Cover the entire tray with the Behr chalk paint first. Once dried, then add a layer of the stone texture spray paint.

Touch up the edges. If you have spots poking through, touch them up with chalk paint of a similar color and a small paint brush.

Prepare photo. Use the same craft paper cutout to trace around your printed photo and cut it down to size.

  1. Apply photo. Re-attach small pieces of double-sided tape to the center of the oval tray and press the picture directly on.
