So, why not give it a try and showcase your memories in a one-of-a-kind way!
Materials
- large serving tray (Dollar Tree)
- double-sided Scotch tape
- Rustoleum spray paint (stone)
- Behr premium Chalk spray paint
- 11x14 printed picture (I ordered mine from Etsy)
- craft paper
Tools
- Scissors
Instructions
- Create backing. Press a piece of craft paper onto the serving tray and cut out around the crease.
- Secure paper. Use small pieces of double sided tape to secure the craft paper cutout. Smooth the paper directly over the tape.
- Spray paint the tray. Cover the entire tray with the Behr chalk paint first. Once dried, then add a layer of the stone texture spray paint.
Touch up the edges. If you have spots poking through, touch them up with chalk paint of a similar color and a small paint brush.
Prepare photo. Use the same craft paper cutout to trace around your printed photo and cut it down to size.
- Apply photo. Re-attach small pieces of double-sided tape to the center of the oval tray and press the picture directly on.
