Supplies:

  • Candle Jars
  • Glitter
  • Foam Brush
  • Mod Podge

Directions:

The first step is cleaning out your candle jar. A great way to get out all of the excess candle wax is by melting it down in a boiling pot of water. CAUTION: Wear your oven mitts as the candle jar will be hot. Once you have gotten all of the wax poured out, let it cool completely and then wash it out again with soap and water. If any leftover residue is still hanging around you can wipe it down with rubbing alcohol.

Next is the fun part.... all the glitter!

Using your foam brush apply the mod podge to the inside of the candle in a thin but even coat. Once it is fully coated dump in a good amount of glitter and start rolling it around. I would suggest doing this over a piece of paper so any excess glitter can be easily poured back into your container.

Now it's the waiting game. Go make yourself a glass of sweet tea or whatever you prefer because it is going to be a minute. Better yet, just go catch up on your DVR.

Once it finally does get dry if you feel like there are spots missing or see through you can apply a second coat. Just use the same technique with a thin layer of mod podge, glitter, and swirl.

Finally, it's done!
