Walnut Bug Craft
Get creative and crafty with the Walnut Bug, a delightful insect-inspired art piece that's perfect for nature lovers and craft enthusiasts. This charming bug is carefully crafted from a real walnut shell, complete with intricate details and textures that mimic the natural patterns of a beetle's exoskeleton. With its unique shape and rustic charm, the Walnut Bug makes for a beautiful paperweight, decorative accent, or gift for someone who appreciates the beauty of nature.
You will need:
• Paint
• Glue – tacky craft glue is perfect but failing that PVA or school glue would be fine too
• Felt (or construction paper) scraps
• Googly eyes
How to:
- Paint the back two thirds of your walnut shell in a flat colour and allow to dry
- Paint white polkadots over the flat colour.
- Paint a little smily mouth.
- Glue the eyes on.
- Fold your felt scrap in half and cut a little teardrop shape diagonally against the fold, unfold to reveal bug wings. Glue them on.
