About 1 yard of 1/8” white satin ribbon
Small amount of fiberfill
White glue
12” fishing line

Beginning at the top of the head:
Round 1: Ch 2, work 6 sc in the 2nd ch from hook; (do not join sc
rounds...use a marker)
Round 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)
Round 3: (Sc in the next sc, 2 sc in the next sc) 6 times. (18 sc)
Round 4-7: Sc in each sc around. (18 sc) Stuff head lightly with fiberfill
after round 7.
Round 8: (Sc in the next sc, sc decrease over the next 2 sc) 6 times. (12
sc)
Round 9: (Sc decrease over the next 2 sc) 6 times. (6 sc)

Round 19: Ch 1, sc in the same st as joining, (ch 3, skip next dc, sc in the
next sc) 35 times, ch 3, join with a sl st in the first sc. (36 loops)
Round 20: Sl st into the first ch 3 loop, ch 4 to count as the first dc and the
first ch 1; (dc, ch 1) 2 times in the same loop; (dc, ch 1) 3 times in each
loop around; join with a sl st to the 3rd ch of the beginning ch 3. (108 dc)
Round 21: (Sc in the next ch 1 sp, ch 3) around; join with a sl st to the first
sc. Fasten off. weave in ends
Halo: Ch 18, join with a sl st to form ring (ch 1, sl st in the next ch) around,
ch 1 sl st in the beginning sl st. Sew or glue to the angel’s head.

Finishing:
Thread the yarn needle with the ribbon. Weave the ribbon in and out of
rows 15, 16, and 17, cutting ribbon at the end of each row, then
overlapping ends and gluing ends together under the skirt.
With the back of the angel facing you, insert the ribbon-threaded needle
down into the last inside chain-3 loop of the right wing, then up through the
last inside ch-3 loop of the left wing. Pull the ribbon tight to draw the
bottom of the wings together, then tie in a small bow. Trim ribbon.
Tie a bow at the base of the front of the angel’s head. Trim ribbon.
Thread the needle with the fishing line. Insert as for the ribbon that ties the
wings together in the loops two up from the wing bow. This will put the
angel in a “flying” position when hung. Tie an overhand knot
Push the angel’s head back, push her chest out, and arrange the ruffles on
the skirt.
